Doberman Pinscher (short coat) : : Female (spayed) : : Adult : : Large Learn more about the Doberman Pinscher.
Update: Lucy is doing very well. She has learned to swim, her new best friend is a Pittie, and she is much more comfortable around small children now. Her foster mom's 3 yr old granddaughter absolutely adores her. Lucy has learned to recall on and off the leash. She does have some separation anxiety so she is kenneled when her foster mom is at work so she won't chew on shoes or blankets. Her foster family loves her. Lucy is being trained for an invisible fence now. She is doing well in the last four days with it. Lucy is a 4 yr old Doberman. She was pulled from a kill shelter where she had a chemical burn and staph infection on her belly, kennel cough, and pneumonia, all not being medically treated. She was in bad shape (Photo 3). Her PCV (packed cell volume) was 10 when we first got her and is now at 43 (normal) after steroid treatment and antibiotics. Lucy is house trained, crate trained, walks well on lead. She likes other dogs, but will not be adopted to a family with children under 5 because squeak toys make her nervous. She is fine with children when they are older. Lucy is spayed, wormed, microchipped, UTD on rabies, parvo/distemper, and kennel cough vaccines, heartworm tested negative, and vet exam. This lovely girl deserves a loving, safe forever home. Approved application does apply. Other Pictures of LUCY (click to see larger version):
